Reclaim Your Tea Party

It has been a while since I last posted, but I have returned to speak about a very disturbing subject. Unfortunately, the political group that calls themselves The Tea Party is tainting the idea of a traditional tea party. A real tea party is described as being "A semi-formal afternoon social gathering at which tea, sandwiches and cakes are served." Somehow, I doubt they serve Earl Grey at their rallies.

In response to this very sad state of things I created a bumper sticker at Zazzle. So, let everyone know what tea parties are really about: drinking tea!

Always Tea Time

Want to have your favorite teacup with you always? Aren't as thrilled about carrying it around like Lady Gaga? Here's a great alternative. A wonderful shop on Etsy called StayGoldMaryRose makes teacup bracelets! Each one is made from a vintage teacup. How freaking adorable!

T is for Teapot

If I were ever to have children, they would never have a chance against my obsession for tea... Think of all the adorable possibilities!

I'm a little teapot,
Short and stout,
Here is my handle (one hand on hip),
Here is my spout (other arm out straight),
When I get all steamed up,
Hear me shout,
Tip me over and pour me out! (lean over toward spout)

I'm a very special teapot,
Yes, it's true,
Here's an example of what I can do,
I can turn my handle into a spout,
Tip me over and pour me out!

Green Tea Wedding

It has been a little over a month since my marriage and seeing as how I definitely incorporated tea into the wedding, I figured I should probably show some photos. :)

Joey and I planned the wedding entirely on our own. A large portion of it was DIY, so of course somewhere along the way we decided on tea influences. We made our favors and they included a tin full of loose leaf tea and two candies that were tea flavored. Joey and I hunted through tons of used book stores for green and black books, which ended up being one of my favorite wedding projects. Also, my sister and I painted some of the tea pots... it was a lot harder than you would expect. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of my cupcake stands which I made out of alternating plates and upside down tea cups. They turned out very cute.

I definitely recommend personalizing your wedding if you plan on getting married! Tons of people commented on how nice it was to have the wedding reflect us as a couple.

Tea For Tattoo

I am willing to admit that I have grand plans for a somewhat elaborate tattoo involving a tea set. However, until I am able to get my lovely tattoo I must content myself with loving others.

A Solution to Life's Problems

Via Nikki Made (check out her other tea stuff)

Oh and guess what? There is also a Facebook group titled A Cup of Tea Solves Everything. And we all know that if a Facebook group claims such a thing, it must be true! So next time you are feeling a bit overwhelmed, be sure to kick back with a nice hot cup of tea and let your problems drift away. :)

Tea Art

The internet has done a great job of making unique art available to the average person. Here's some eye candy I've found for the tea lovers everywhere...

A. Black Bear Art - By far one of my favorite artists; her art is full of whimsical animals living every day lives.
B. Tea Time For A Secret Agent - I love the colors in this!
C. Beagle Steeping Green Tea - Animals enjoy tea too. My dog prefers coffee (much to my chagrin).
D. Kettle Song -Because a tea kettle is pretty too. There is something about this print that I really like.

Tea Jewelry

Etsy is often the cause of much drooling. I have to admit that before Etsy I had never thought about wearing tea jewelry. So fabulous!!!
